LOGLINE

A former basketball star is sentenced to seven years after committing vehicular manslaughter while under the influence. In order to survive prison she has to stay sober and rediscover her place on the basketball court.

SUMMARY

Mary, a former basketball star, is sentenced to seven years for vehicular manslaughter committed during an alcohol-induced blackout. She shares a 9 x 12 prison cell with Nessy, a powerful ex-drug dealer serving a life sentence for murder, now hoping for parole after fifteen years.

Both women carry the weight of having taken a life and must confront their pasts if they ever hope to move forward. For Mary, the basketball court offers her only escape. For Nessy, it’s books and the quiet hope of freedom. As their unlikely bond deepens, a dangerous figure from Nessy’s past returns, pulling Mary into a web of prison politics and hard choices.

In the end, 7 on 10 is not just one woman’s story, but a reflection of many—women searching for redemption, connection, and freedom within the harsh walls of incarceration.
